Novalja is surrounded by beaches within a short drive. Some are shallow and easy for families, others are better for dramatic scenery, deeper water or the energy of Zrće. This is OLEA’s simple shortlist for choosing the right beach mood.
Babe lies in a shallow cove west of Novalja and is known for warm, shallow water. Planjka (Trinćel), north of town, is well-kept, shallow and sandy, with food and recreation nearby. Both are easy choices when you want a relaxed beach day without making the beach itself the whole adventure.
Caska combines a beach day with the story of the ancient settlement nearby and quickly deepening water. Zrće has a very different character: pebble beach, sports and entertainment by day, clubs and festival energy after dark. The wider Pag coast also rewards short drives when you want quieter scenery.
